From all of us at CouponCabin, we would like to wish you a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving!
As we reflect on the past year, here’s a few things we’re grateful for:
- Dedicated users like you. Not only do you offer great ideas and feedback, but you submit coupons just to help other like-minded shoppers save.
- Deeper discounts. We’re thankful for merchants who work with us to create unbeatable offers that give our shopping community the most value for their money.
- Giving back. We’re thankful for the opportunity to help those less-fortunate through our charitable giving program. We’re pleased to continue our donations to worthy charities in 2012.
Please remember the U.S. military service personnel serving overseas who may not be with loved ones this Thanksgiving. If you have expired or valid coupons that you aren’t using, we encourage you to send them to us for our Troopons program.
Here’s to a safe and meaningful holiday!

Q & A About Troopons Program
Filed Under:
In honor of Veterans Day, we announced that we are joining forces with SupportOurTroops.org’s Troopons program – a service that collects and ships expired and active coupons to U.S. Armed Forces members and their families for use on military bases. Through this new partnership, CouponCabin.com will collect coupons from its users and cover the cost of sending them to overseas and U.S. bases. Below is a Q&A with Support Our Troops Chairman Martin Boire.
Why did you start the Support Our Troops Troopons program?
We started the Troopons program because it is an amazingly simple way to put hundreds of dollars into the hands of military families — without cost to anyone except postage. With Troopons, a person does not have to write a check to help another human being; they simply need to get out their scissors and give their time to give back to the troops who do amazing things for all of us.

Odds & Ends: Halloween Party Tips

You don’t have to turn your home into an elaborate haunted house to have a killer Halloween party. You can do a few simple things to make your Halloween party the talk of your neighborhood.
- FOOD: Make your treats stand out. A quick Google search will give you tons of cute Halloween recipes that are super easy to execute and will make kids scream (in fear and joy!) We love these ideas from AllRecipes.com – particularly the Crescent Mummy Dogs and the Spooky Halloween Eyeballs.
- DECORATIONS: Adding just a few inexpensive decorations can get your family in the Halloween spirit. Put some dry ice in a bucket in a corner to create a smoky ambience (watch those fingers!). Add some fake spider webs, spooky window clings and swap out your regular light bulbs for red ones. Don’t go overboard – Halloween is supposed to be fun; it shouldn’t cause your kids to have nightmares. (more…)

Finding the perfect Halloween costume can be a difficult task. You can make it easy on yourself by picking up a costume from the store, but if you want to stand out this year, think outside the box and come up with your own costume idea. Our favorite costumes are ones that are based on current pop culture figures or stories. We’ve seen countless Chilean miners, Sarah Palins, Justin Biebers and Britneys over the past few years.
We explored this topic in a recent survey, where we asked U.S. adults what they predicted to be the most popular Halloween costume this year. Survey says…Lady Gaga will be this year’s most popular costume. The rest of the results are below. (more…)
