What the Heck is Cyber Monday?

For those of you that don’t know, Cyber Monday is the biggest online shopping holiday of the year. Cyber Monday had always been in Black Friday’s shadow but over the years, it has grown to become a legitimate shopping ‘holiday’ in its own right.

Instead of running around from store to store on Black Friday, why not celebrate Cyber Monday? You’ll find even better deals, plus you can shop in the comfort of your own home. Keep your coat in the closet, gas in the car and your butt on the couch! Check out these three tips to help you maximize your savings on Cyber Monday.

  • Compare Prices: If Store X is offering a pair of shoes for $40 and Store Y is offering them for $50, you might be tempted to buy them from Store X. But look around a little – Store Y might have a 30% off + free shipping coupon. It only takes a few minutes to save!
  • Do Your Homework: Even if you subscribe to an email newsletter for a specific store, make sure to still check CouponCabin so you get the best deals. The store emails are different for each subscriber, depending on their shopping habits. The deal you receive in your email might not be the best deal for that store.
  • Don’t Pay For Shipping: Due to the state of the economy and its effect on retail, you should expect to get free shipping on an online order of $50 or more. In the past, the trend has typically been free shipping on orders of $100 – $125 or more, but this year the threshold is lower.

This year, you can expect deals ranging ranging from 30-50% off from stores like Levi’s, Eddie Bauer, Aeropostale, Snapfish, The Limited and more. Follow our Facebook and Twitter posts all day Monday – we’ll be posting offers to make sure you get the most out of our favorite shopping holiday, Cyber Monday.
