My experience with Lifetime Fitness has been much different. The facility by me is really nice, it's always clean and the machines are in good condition. I like the classes that they offer as well.
Great for keeping fit
Was a Lifetime Fitness member for a couple years (in a Northern suburb of Chicago) but had to quit as the facility kept taking on new members without consideration for capacity. Found myself unable to find parking on Sunday mornings and even in the evenings on weekdays. Since our facility was open 24 hours, it really took on wear and tear and aged quickly. Was no longer worth the monthly fees. And by the way, canceling our membership was extremely difficult (they required an in-person meeting to try and sell/keep you). There are better options.
