Our analysis of Steep & Cheap finds a pattern of frequently refreshed discounts that cover entire brands or categories, often displayed right on the homepage. These deals usually do not require promotional codes, pointing to a model where savings are built into the listed prices. Flash coupons and codes are also available at times, though ongoing markdowns remain a key driver of savings. Shoppers can sign up for the Steep & Cheap email newsletter for a special discount.

What return guidelines does Steep & Cheap have?
Steep & Cheap offers a shopper-friendly return policy, allowing returns of new, unused items within 30 days as long as original packaging and tags are included. The flat-rate return shipping fee is reasonable and can be avoided by choosing store credit, making it a good option for frequent shoppers. However, items marked as final sale or made-to-order cannot be returned, so check product details before buying. Overall, the policy is straightforward and fair for most customers.
Steep & Cheap provides shoppers with flexible shipping options, including economy, standard, expedited, and next-day delivery, making it easy to choose based on urgency and budget. Orders placed before the afternoon cutoff usually ship quickly, and free shipping is sometimes available for higher-value purchases, which is a great perk for deal seekers. Oversized items like kayaks and bikes require special freight shipping within the contiguous US. Overall, Steep & Cheap's shipping policy is straightforward and competitive, offering good value and convenience for online outdoor gear shoppers.
Steep & Cheap offers shoppers a straightforward order cancellation policy, letting most online orders be canceled easily before packing starts. You can cancel through your account or order status page, but some items like bikes or vendor-fulfilled products may need extra help from customer service. Refunds go back to your original payment method, though processing can take a few business days. This flexible approach is convenient for deal hunters and coupon users, but be aware that quick action is needed if you change your mind.
Is there a shopper loyalty program at Steep & Cheap?
Steep & Cheap does not offer a formal loyalty or rewards program, but shoppers can still benefit by creating an account for special offers, early sale access, and a quicker checkout experience. Signing up for their email newsletter is a smart move for deal seekers, as it unlocks exclusive discounts and often a first order savings, making it worthwhile for those looking to maximize savings on outdoor gear.
Steep & Cheap is a reliable destination for bargain hunters, regularly featuring seasonal sales like Winter Closeout and Summer Clearance along with flash deals. Shoppers can often find discounts as high as 60% or 70% off, making it a smart choice for saving on outdoor gear and apparel. The frequent promotions and rotating deals provide excellent value, especially for those who check back often.
Can I split Steep & Cheap purchases into payments?
Steep & Cheap offers buy now, pay later options through Affirm and Sezzle at checkout. Affirm can divide a purchase into four interest-free payments or provide a monthly installment plan over a selected period, with the amount owed and payoff timing shown in advance. For a $150 Sezzle purchase, pay $37.50 at checkout, then $37.50 every two weeks at weeks 2, 4, and 6.
• Source • Source • Source This Pay Later finding is based on our team's live checkout simulation on SteepandCheap.com.
Does Steep & Cheap offer a price match policy?
Steep & Cheap matches prices listed by US-based non-auction retailers for new items that are identical. Contact a Gearhead before ordering to place a price-matched order. If the item was already purchased, contact Steep & Cheap within 48 hours of the order to request a credit for the difference. If Steep & Cheap marks the item down within 30 days, a sale price credit may apply when the same size and color are in stock.
Subscribe to the Steep & Cheap email newsletter to receive a 10% welcome coupon on a first order. Exclusive access to member-only promotions, gear deals, and outdoor product updates is also included.
If a competitor has an eligible item for a lower price, contact a Gearhead who will adjust the price by 5%. If you have already made a purchase, make sure to contact within 48 hours. If you have already made a purchase and then an item goes on sale less than 30 days after, contact customer service so they can credit the difference.
