How ExtraCare Rewards Works
To earn rewards, members can use their card, app or phone number at checkout to access sale prices and rewards. If you’re shopping online, you’ll need to create a CVS account with your ExtraCare card linked to it. Keep in mind that your ExtraCare card must be active and scanned in-store at least once a year for it to be successfully attached to an online account.
How to Maximize Your CVS Savings
Once you’re signed up for the ExtraCare Rewards program, the best way to take advantage of the program is to stack savings. Look for sale prices and Extra Big Deals in the store, then add any personalized digital offers or ExtraBucks Rewards that have been sent to your card. For qualifying purchases, you can still earn 2% back to use later, which creates another layer of savings for your next visit.
“Drugstore rewards programs tend to be most valuable when shoppers treat them like part of their regular routine instead of a one-time perk,” says Lia Berman, savings analyst. “At CVS, that can mean combining sale pricing, digital offers and ExtraBucks on the same trip so everyday necessities like cold medicine, toothpaste and snacks cost less over time.”
It also helps to download and check the CVS app. This will make it easy to find and manage your rewards on a regular basis, whether you’re shopping online or in-store.
