Our Guide to 2026 Ace Hardware Shopping Policies

• Where do I enter offers or promo codes at Ace Hardware?

At Ace Hardware, go to the Shopping Cart. Enter your code in the upper right Offers & Promo Codes box and click Apply to redeem it on your order.

• How are returns managed at Ace Hardware?

Ace Hardware's return policy is generally shopper-friendly but has some important restrictions to keep in mind. Most online purchases can be returned within 30 days, but some items have shorter or vendor-specific windows. Items must be unused and in original packaging with all paperwork. Refunds are issued to the original payment method, but shipping and handling fees are not refunded and return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the item is defective. Restocking fees may apply, especially for assembled or vendor-direct items, and some products like gift cards, clearance, hazardous materials, and customized paint are final sale. Always check if your item has special return conditions, as vendor-direct and bundle offers can have stricter rules.

• What shipping guidelines does Ace Hardware have?

Ace Hardware delivers to all 50 states, with shipping costs determined by order weight and destination. Ace Rewards members enjoy free next-day delivery on qualifying in-stock orders of $50 or more at select locations. Customers can also choose free store pickup, with most in-stock items ready the same day when the order is placed at least 2 hours before the store's closing time.

• Does Ace Hardware have discount offers for customers?

Ace Hardware does not provide a nationwide military discount program. Since most locations are independently owned, many stores choose to offer a 10% discount at the manager's discretion. Eligible shoppers typically need to show a valid military ID or proof of service, so it is recommended to check with your local Ace Hardware before purchasing.

• How are cancellations managed at Ace Hardware?

Ace Hardware requires customers to request an order cancellation promptly through the Order History page or the Track Order page. Orders are processed quickly, so acting fast increases the chance of stopping shipment. If the order has already begun processing, it must be managed as a return instead, and restocking fees may apply. Always confirm the order status by phone to avoid additional charges or delays.

• Does Ace Hardware have a loyalty program?

Ace Hardware's Ace Rewards loyalty program is free to join and lets shoppers earn points quickly on most purchases, making it a solid choice for regular hardware buyers. Members enjoy exclusive offers, bonus rewards, and special event access, plus perks like free delivery on qualifying online orders. While Premier status offers extra savings and birthday rewards, Ace can change or end the program at any time, so benefits are not guaranteed long-term.

• Are significant sales offered at Ace Hardware?

Ace Hardware offers frequent sales throughout the year, with notable deals during Christmas, February, and other seasonal events on items like holiday decor, indoor heating, and tool sets. Shoppers can find weekly ads, online deals, and clearance discounts, but the best offers may require an Ace Rewards membership as some promotions are exclusive.

• What are Ace Hardware's BNPL options?

Ace Hardware offers Buy Now, Pay Later online through PayPal with Pay in 4 and Pay Monthly. Pay in 4 and Pay Monthly spread payments over time, with exact limits and schedules set by PayPal. Eligibility and any costs are determined by the provider.

• Is there an option for price matching at Ace Hardware?

Ace Hardware stores are independently owned, so price match policies differ by location. Some stores may match competitors' prices, while others may not participate in price matching at all. Customers should call or visit their local Ace Hardware to confirm availability and specific terms before making a purchase to ensure they receive the best possible value.

• What are the coupon and promo exclusions at Ace Hardware?

Ace Hardware coupons and promotional discounts do not apply to sale or clearance items, previous purchases, gift card purchases, or YardRX subscriptions. Coupons are non-transferable, have no cash value, and cannot be replaced if you return the merchandise. Photocopied printed coupons are void. Excluded brands include Benjamin Moore, Big Green Egg, Blackstone, Dyson, EGO, Kamado Joe, Leatherman, Ring, Stanley, STIHL, TORO, Traeger, Weber, and YETI.
