Our review shows BarkBox promotes free extra months for new multi-month subscribers, with these value-boosting codes featured directly on main site pages and during checkout. These subscription incentives are a mainstay, not tied to special events. General markdowns or sitewide sales are uncommon, and savings revolve around extending subscriptions rather than loyalty points or tiered pricing. New customers can typically get a discount on their BarkBox boxes.

Our Guide to 2026 BarkBox Shopping Policies
Where do I enter a Discount Code at BarkBox?
Enter the Discount Code in the top right of the Checkout page at BarkBox. Click Apply to add the Discount Code to the order before checkout.
Can you explain BarkBox's return rules?
BarkBox has a strict return policy for its subscription boxes and Super Chewer items, which are generally not eligible for returns or exchanges. However, they do offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee and promise to resolve any issues if you're not happy with your order, making it a reassuring option for shoppers. For BarkShop products, returns are accepted if items are unused and in original packaging. Amazon orders follow standard 30-day return rules. Report missing or damaged items within 30 days.
BarkBox offers free shipping within the contiguous United States when you add a premium add-on to your monthly subscription box, though Alaskan and Hawaiian pups will still see any applicable charges. Most boxes arrive in two to eight business days, and the first box ships quickly.
BarkBox offers appealing special discounts for military members and veterans, making it a great choice for shoppers looking to save on their first subscription box or order. Military and veteran discounts require verification and apply a $10 discount only to the first box purchase. These deals cannot be combined and do not apply to renewals, but they provide solid value for eligible new customers.
BarkBox subscriptions renew automatically, so shoppers should remember to cancel before the next billing cycle to avoid unwanted charges. Canceling is easy through your account or by contacting support, but prepaid multi-month plans are nonrefundable and will run to the end of their term. Refunds are rare and only considered for special situations, so plan your purchase carefully.
Is there a program of major promotions at BarkBox?
BarkBox frequently offers seasonal sales and promotions, especially for new customers, such as 50% off the first box or free bonus toys with longer subscriptions. Shoppers can expect special deals during months like May and October, plus holiday-themed boxes for events like Christmas. Note that discounts are only valid for the initial subscription period and cannot be combined or applied to renewals.
Shopping Tips for BarkBox Shoppers
What deals do new BarkBox customers get?
BarkBox frequently rewards new subscribers with introductory perks, including discounted first boxes, "double first box" promotions, or a free bonus toy.
New BarkBox customers can often get 50% off their first box with a 6 or 12-month subscription. This introductory deal is offered multiple times a year.
How do I save more on a BarkBox subscription?
Choosing a longer subscription term can lower costs by as much as $6 per month.
Does BarkBox ever include bonus items in their boxes?
New BarkBox subscribers may receive a free extra toy in every box with a multi-month plan. Current members can also pay to upgrade their subscription and add an additional toy each month.
