Nintendo generally maintains relatively stable list pricing on its official store, with discounts appearing primarily through curated, limited-time sales on select digital games and DLC. Promo codes and broad couponing do not appear to be a central part of Nintendo’s direct-to-consumer pricing strategy, although third-party sites may advertise codes or offers. Rather than relying on a recurring purchase-points discount system, Nintendo’s current savings model centers on selective promotional sales and other account/member-related offers. Overall, discounts appear curated and episodic rather than following a consistent or easily predictable markdown pattern across store visits.

Our Guide to 2026 Nintendo Shopping Policies
Where do I enter a Promotional Code at Nintendo?
In the Nintendo Shopping Cart, find the Promotional Code box in the upper right. Enter your Promotional Code, click Apply, and confirm the discount before checkout.
What is Nintendo's return policy?
Nintendo's return policy is fairly strict, which is important for shoppers to know before making a purchase. Returns and exchanges are only accepted for items bought directly from the My Nintendo Store or official Nintendo New York and San Francisco locations, and must be made within 30 days. Items must be unopened and in original condition, and you'll need your receipt for in-store returns. Digital products and gift cards are non-refundable, and you're responsible for return shipping unless Nintendo made a mistake. Refunds go back to your original payment method but shipping costs are usually not refunded. This policy is reliable but not very flexible, so be sure about your purchase before buying from Nintendo.
Nintendo offers reliable shipping options for US shoppers, including standard, two-day, and next-day delivery, with free standard shipping on orders over $50. Orders are processed on business days, and delivery is available to all US states and territories, though some restrictions apply for expedited shipping and certain items like lithium batteries. Tracking is provided for most shipments, but not all. Overall, the policy is straightforward and shopper-friendly, especially for those seeking free shipping deals.
Nintendo's order cancellation policy is strict, making almost all digital sales final, which means shoppers should be sure before buying. The only exception is for Nintendo eShop pre-orders, which can be canceled if done at least 7 days before release and using the same Nintendo Account. This policy limits flexibility, so coupon users should double-check their choices before checkout.
Nintendo automatically enrolls you in My Nintendo when you create a Nintendo Account. You can earn Platinum Points through eligible missions. Platinum Points expire after 6 months and Gold Points expire after 12 months. Rewards are nonrefundable, have no cash value, and points become unusable if the account is deleted, suspended, banned, or ended.
Nintendo's seasonal sales, especially around Black Friday and the holidays, are a great opportunity for shoppers to save on consoles, games, and accessories, with discounts on bundles, controllers, and select titles. While deals are widely available and don't require a membership, some offers are limited to certain retailers or while supplies last, so act quickly for the best selection.
