Outdoorsy appears to lean heavily toward referral-based credits and targeted discounts rather than broad, sitewide promotional codes. Its current referral program offers discounts to new users and travel credits to referring existing users. Promo codes do exist, but they are often subject to restrictions such as first-trip eligibility, specific travel dates, vehicle types, minimum stays, or host-specific terms. Targeted email or signup offers may occur, but they are not consistently documented as a standard promotional channel. Overall, broadly available sitewide couponing appears less central to Outdoorsy's promotional approach than referral incentives and targeted offers.

Our Guide to 2026 Outdoorsy Shopping Policies

What return guidelines does Outdoorsy have?
Outdoorsy's return policy is different from typical retail stores because it is an RV rental marketplace, so there are no returns or exchanges for physical products. Instead, refunds depend on the cancellation policy set by each RV host, which can vary from flexible to strict. Refunds are processed automatically to your original payment method if you cancel, but the amount you get back depends on the host's rules. Outdoorsy does not make exceptions for special circumstances like COVID-19, so shoppers should review cancellation terms carefully before booking. This policy is standard for rental platforms but may not offer the flexibility some coupon-savvy shoppers expect.
Can customers find any special discounts at Outdoorsy?
Outdoorsy offers a 20% discount on every rental for active military members, veterans, and first responders. To receive the discount, eligible customers must verify their identity through the provided verification link before booking. It offers a great way for special groups to save.
Outdoorsy's cancellation policy offers shoppers clear options with Flexible, Moderate, and Strict choices set by hosts, so you know what to expect before booking. You get a free cancellation window for 48 hours if your trip is at least 14 days away, which is a nice perk. Refund amounts depend on the policy selected and how far in advance you cancel, with stricter terms leading to lower refunds. While the policies are transparent and easy to understand, be aware that reservation deposits may be non-refundable and fees are often deducted from refunds. If a host cancels, you'll get your money back promptly. Overall, Outdoorsy's approach is fair and upfront, but always review the policy selected by your host before finalizing your booking to avoid surprises.
Outdoorsy offers shoppers a range of seasonal sales and holiday deals, with discounts sometimes reaching up to 50% off or significant dollar savings. Shoppers can expect special promotions during major events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Rental prices may be higher during peak travel seasons but drop in off-peak months, making it smart to book when demand is lower. Some offers require a minimum spend, so check terms before booking. Overall, Outdoorsy provides good opportunities for savings, especially for flexible travelers looking to maximize value.
Shopping Tip for Outdoorsy Shoppers
Can customers save with the Outdoorsy referral program?
Outdoorsy's referral program gives friends $50 off a trip of $200+ when they book using a shared referral link or QR code. After the friend books, $75 in travel credit is earned to use on a future trip.
Offer does not apply to refueling, drop-off, delivery, youthful driver, additional driver, pick up, or one way charges or any optional product or service (such as optional damage waiver of $50 or less per day), which are the responsibility of the Renter.
