In our reviews, we spot a pattern of promo codes for both new and returning customers at FreshDirect, often linked to minimum order amounts and found at checkout or on the homepage. FreshDirect regularly features time-limited discounts on select categories rather than sitewide markdowns. Loyalty perks are incorporated through DeliveryPass that grants free delivery and member-only deals. The store leans into personalized codes and alternating savings, including the Chef's Table program.

Smart Shopping Tip
Check your local delivery fee before paying for DeliveryPass. Standard delivery fees vary by area and can reach $19.99, so the plan is most valuable if you expect enough $35-plus orders to beat that cost.

Our Guide to 2026 FreshDirect Shopping Policies
Where do I apply a Promo Code on FreshDirect?
On the Your bag shipping page at FreshDirect, find the Promo Code field in the bottom left of the screen. Enter your Promo Code, click Add, and confirm the savings appear before checkout.
What's FreshDirect's return process?
FreshDirect offers a fairly shopper-friendly return policy, especially for a grocery delivery service. You have a limited window to report issues with perishable and frozen items, which is standard for fresh food retailers. If you make a mistake with your order, you can return the item for account credit, adding convenience. However, FreshDirect may ask you to return unsatisfactory products before issuing a credit or replacement, so keep packaging handy. Overall, the policy is reasonable and supports customer satisfaction.
What's the standard shipping policy for FreshDirect?
FreshDirect offers grocery delivery to a wide range of locations in the Northeast, including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania, making it convenient for many shoppers. Delivery fees vary by area and can be as high as $19.99, so it's important to check your specific rate. There is a minimum order requirement, usually $35, which is reasonable for most households. Unattended delivery is available in select suburbs, adding flexibility for busy customers.
FreshDirect's order cancellation policy is strict, so shoppers should be careful when placing orders. You can cancel any time before the cutoff deadline shown in your confirmation email, but after that, you'll face steep restocking fees of 100% for perishables and 25% for packaged goods. Always double-check your order and act quickly if you need to make changes to avoid extra charges.
FreshDirect has an official loyalty program called Chef's Table, where members can receive exclusive benefits including preferred delivery access, dedicated service specialists, exclusive discounts and more. FreshDirect shoppers are automatically enrolled after placing 12+ orders or spending an average of $500 per month during any 3-month period. Chef's Table accounts are periodically reviewed by FreshDirect to evaluate eligibility status, and any members who do not place an order within a 4-month period will automatically be removed from the program. Chef's Table provides a variety of benefits, but requires customers to stay active in order to stay enrolled.
FreshDirect's Fresh Deals section is updated every Thursday, giving shoppers regular access to new savings on seasonal items and expert picks. The store often features special deals and bundles with built-in discounts, making it easy to save compared to buying items separately. FreshDirect is known for offering extra promotions to new customers and highlights special offers around Thanksgiving.
Shopping Tip for FreshDirect Shoppers
