Over years of reviews, our team notes that Home Chef regularly promotes sign-up discounts for first-time users, often through homepage banners and checkout codes. These savings are structured to attract new subscribers, with offers consistently tied to the initial order process. While broad repeat-customer promotions remain limited, Home Chef does offer ongoing discounts for eligible groups such as military members, first responders, health care professionals, and teachers, providing a recurring savings path outside of standard sitewide promotions.

Our Guide to 2026 Home Chef Shopping Policies
Where do I enter my Home Chef promo code?
Enter your code in the Promo Code box under Promo Codes & Gift Cards at the bottom right of the Billing Information page at Home Chef. Click Apply to redeem before completing your order.
What should I know about returns at Home Chef?
Home Chef's return policy is strict because they deal with fresh food, so shoppers cannot return meal boxes. However, if your order arrives damaged, missing items, or is incorrect, you can contact their support team, preferably with photos, to resolve the issue. Home Chef may offer refunds or store credit for problems with your order. This policy is standard for meal kit services, so shop with confidence knowing customer support is available if something goes wrong.
Home Chef offers convenient weekly meal kit deliveries to most of the United States, making it easy for shoppers to enjoy fresh ingredients at home. While the service does not ship to Hawaii, Alaska, PO boxes or campgrounds, it covers 98% of the country. Delivery days are flexible by region, but a specific delivery window cannot be chosen. Shipping fees are included in weekly charges and free shipping is not offered as part of the weekly subscription. Home Chef maintains a flat, competitive shipping rate to cover the costs of cold-chain packaging and expedited delivery.
Does Home Chef have discount offers for customers?
Home Chef provides generous special discounts for military, first responders, healthcare workers, and teachers, making it a great choice for those seeking meal kit savings. Eligible groups receive 50% off their first box, ongoing 10% discounts, free shipping on the first order, and even a free dessert item for life. The maximum discount that can be redeemed is $60. Eligibility is verified securely through ID.me, and this offer may not be combined with other offers or gift cards.
Home Chef offers shoppers a flexible cancellation policy with no long-term commitment, making it easy to pause or cancel a subscription online. Just remember to act before the weekly deadline to avoid charges, as orders already processed or shipped are not refunded. This policy is convenient for those seeking control and flexibility over their meal deliveries.
Home Chef is a great choice for shoppers looking to save on meal kits, especially during seasonal sales around major holidays when discounts can reach up to 60% off for new customers. The brand also offers ongoing deals for new subscribers throughout the year, and signing up for email or text alerts ensures you never miss the latest offers or menu updates.
