Our Guide to 2026 Office Depot Shopping Policies

• Where do I enter my Office Depot coupon?

Enter your code in the Coupon box at the upper right of the Shopping Cart page. Click Add to apply your coupon before proceeding to checkout.

• How does Office Depot handle returns?

Office Depot offers a generally shopper-friendly return policy, allowing most items to be returned within 90 days with an original receipt, though tech products and furniture have a shorter 14-day window. Items should be in original packaging and like-new condition, and unopened ink and toner can be returned within 30 days. Online returns are easy with free shipping labels, and refunds are processed to the original payment method. Returns without a receipt are limited to store credit and some exclusions apply.

• What is Office Depot's shipping procedure?

Office Depot's shipping policy is shopper-friendly with multiple delivery options like same-day, next-day, and standard shipping, making it easy to get office supplies quickly. Free shipping is available for qualifying orders, which is great for saving money, but minimum order amounts apply. Delivery is limited to the contiguous US and some services are not available everywhere, so check your area before ordering. Overall, the policy is flexible and cost-effective for most coupon shoppers.

• What special discounts does Office Depot offer?

Office Depot offers 20% off qualifying regular-price and sale-price purchases for active-duty service members, National Guard members, reservists, veterans, retirees, spouses, and immediate family members after military status verification through ID.me. Teachers also receive 20% off qualifying regular-price and sale-price purchases after creating a Rewards account and verifying their teacher credentials through ID.me. Both discounts are valid online and in stores.

• What should I know about canceling at Office Depot?

Office Depot's order cancellation policy is somewhat restrictive, especially for special or custom orders, which usually cannot be canceled or returned unless damaged or misprinted. For in-store or curbside pickups, you must call the store directly, and refunds are issued to the original payment method if payment was processed. Shoppers should be aware that cancellation deadlines and processing times are not clearly outlined, so flexibility is limited. This policy is important to consider before making a purchase, especially if you're looking for deals or using coupons, as it may affect your ability to change or cancel your order.

• Does Office Depot have a program for loyal customers?

The Office Depot OfficeMax Rewards program is a solid choice for frequent shoppers looking to save on office supplies, furniture, and tech. Membership is free and offers 2% back on most purchases with no earning cap, plus exclusive member discounts. Rewards are paid monthly as certificates, but you need to earn at least $3 to receive one. VIP status unlocks even more perks, making it worthwhile for regular buyers.

• Does Office Depot have seasonal sales?

Office Depot runs frequent seasonal sales, with big events during Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the back-to-school season. Exact discount percentages are not always advertised, but shoppers can expect hot clearance deals on office supplies. Rewards members get exclusive members-only savings during these promotions through the rewards program.

• Which PayPal installment options are available at Office Depot?

At Office Depot's online checkout, selecting PayPal may show Pay in 4, Pay Monthly or both for an eligible order. Pay in 4 collects one-quarter of the total immediately and the rest in three biweekly installments, without PayPal interest, signup fees or late fees. Pay Monthly spreads payments over a longer loan term, with offered APRs of 0%–35.99% depending on the purchase and credit eligibility; 0% is not assured. PayPal's approval screen identifies the option actually available, including the payment amounts and total due.

• Does Office Depot provide a price match guarantee?

Office Depot offers a solid price match policy that helps shoppers save by matching prices on new, identical items from major retailers, including Amazon, as long as the item is in stock and matches in every detail. Claims are allowed at purchase or within 14 days, but exclusions apply, especially for clearance, special sales, and marketplace items. This policy is a good way for savvy shoppers to ensure they get the best deal without worrying about missing out on lower prices elsewhere, making Office Depot a reliable choice for price-conscious buyers.
