Our Guide to 2026 Design Within Reach Shopping Policies

• Where do I apply a Promo Code on Design Within Reach?

On the Your Cart page at Design Within Reach, find the Promo Code field in the middle right under Apply promo code. Enter your Promo Code, click Apply, and confirm the savings appear before checkout.

• What should I know about returns at Design Within Reach?

Design Within Reach offers a standard 30-day return window for items in original condition, but shoppers should be aware that shipping fees are non-refundable and a 10% restocking fee may apply. Proof of purchase is required, and refunds go back to the original payment method unless you have a gift receipt, in which case you get store credit. Final sale items generally cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or incorrect, which must be reported quickly. This policy is fairly typical but not the most flexible, so consider your purchase carefully.

• How is shipping managed at Design Within Reach?

Design Within Reach offers several shipping options based on the type of item you order, with delivery available to the US. Shipping times are reasonable, with smaller items arriving in about a week and larger furniture taking up to three weeks. Shipping fees are calculated as a percentage of your order total, which can add up, especially for larger purchases, and extra charges may apply for remote locations. DWR does not ship to hotels, P.O. boxes, or military addresses, so shoppers should plan accordingly. Overall, the policy is straightforward and reliable, but be aware of potentially high shipping costs when shopping for deals.

• What special discounts are available at Design Within Reach?

Design Within Reach offers a strong incentive for design professionals through its DWR Trade program, giving eligible members a 20% discount on full-price merchandise with no minimum purchase. The program is free to join for those in fields like interior design and architecture who can provide proof of professional status. Trade members also enjoy exclusive promotions, VIP events and concierge services, making this a valuable savings opportunity.

• How do cancellations work at Design Within Reach?

DWR's order cancellation policy is strict due to their fast processing, so shoppers should act quickly if they need to cancel. You must contact customer service immediately by phone or email, and cancellation depends on the order status. Payment is only processed when your order ships, which offers some reassurance for those shopping for deals and discounts.

• Are large sales events part of Design Within Reach's offerings?

Design Within Reach offers frequent online and in-store sales, making it a smart choice for shoppers looking for quality modern furniture at reduced prices. With discounts typically ranging from 15% to 30% and special events sometimes reaching up to 50% off, especially during national holidays, there are regular opportunities to save. Semiannual sales and brand-specific promotions add extra value, though exclusions like gift cards and shipping apply and offers cannot be combined. Overall, DWR provides reliable savings for those seeking designer furniture deals.

• Does Design Within Reach offer a Buy Now, Pay Later option?

Design Within Reach shoppers can use Affirm to split purchases into monthly payments, making it easier to budget for furniture and home decor. Plans are available in 6, 12, or 18-month periods with APR rates ranging from 0% to 36%. Affirm is transparent about costs, has no hidden fees or compounding interest, and the required credit check does not impact your credit score. Items purchased using Affirm are eligible for returns.

• Does Design Within Reach price match?

Design Within Reach's price adjustment policy offers a sale price credit for items that go on sale within 14 days of an order. The credit will be issued to the original payment method as the difference between the sale price and the price that was charged. While final sale items are excluded from price adjustments, this policy offers a solid way to get an extra discount on items from this store.
